The weather here (probably like the rest of the country) has been real shitty lately. While waiting for the trails to dry out something has to be done with the nervous energy...sounds like the perfect time to get the fleet in tip-top shape. I was working on tuning up the old 1x1 last night and it dawned on me that none of my Surly bikes are "stock". This is due to having access to lots of parts and that it's fun to make your bike your own. Being around so many bike nerds the "dream build" conversation comes up a lot. Although this bike isn't super spendy or outfitted with the latest and greatest, it is in a sense, my dream build (with obvious budget constraints etc.) because I like to ride it, and it has parts that I have faith in. Anyways, I'll keep this one short and to the point.
My bikes aren't perfect or pretty in the conventional sense, but I like the look of a bike that's a little dirty and beat up. So without further ado, here is a look at a Surly (employee) Surly.
The weather is improving and mountain bike season is just around the corner
